Dr. Christiana Grim

Dr. Grim grew up in Northern Virginia. She received her DVM from Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, in Blacksburg, VA. Dr. Grim interests and experience are in Conservation Medicine and Clinical Practice. After post doctoral work in Hawaii she returned to Virginia and has been a member of the Kingsview Family since 2009. At home, Dr. Grim enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and son. They share their home with their two cats, Tin-Tin and Snowy, and their South African Mastiff, Georgia.

Dr. Elissa Thorndike

Dr. Thorndike is originally from outside of New York City but spent almost a decade in Colorado, enjoying all the Rocky Mountains have to offer. She received her DVM at Colorado State University, returning back east to complete an internship at Southpaws Veterinary Center, and yes she is a lefty. The last 20 years have been spent working at a busy practice in NOVA while raising her 2 children Evan and Milly and caring for a multitude of rescued critters. When away from work you can find her in a kayak, a hiking trail, or volunteering with a local rescue group.

Dr. Caleb Minger

Dr. Minger grew up in Stafford, Virginia, where his family settled down after leaving the military. He studied Animal Sciences at Virginia Tech and earned his DVM from Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021, staying a Hokie through and through. Dr. Minger’s special interests are in internal medicine, ultrasonography, and behavior. However, he is most of all excited to join and get to know a great team who brings compassionate care to the pets of this community. Away from KVAH, Dr. Minger enjoys video editing, photography, soccer, and spending time with his significant other, who is also a veterinarian from his graduating class.

Dr. Laura Lock

Dr. Lock grew up in Burke, Virginia not far down the road. She received her DVM at Oregon State University. She loved all the hiking in the pacific northwest, but she came back to Virginia to be closer to family. She has a pet tortoise named Tortellini and helps her husband’s family take care of three huskies, Mason, Daisy, and Helix. In her free time, she enjoys playing sand volleyball, going to the beach, and hiking.
